Thich Nhat Hanh
Zen Buddhist Monk, and Mindfullness Teacher Thich Nhat Hanh was and continues to be a great mentor to many and to me. During the Vietnam war, he helped anyone who was suffering from the trauma of war. Because he did not choose sides, he was kicked out of his country by the Vietnamese government. Thich Nhat Hahn taught peace and healing by example. He later founded Plum Village in France, to continue his work.
I frequently teach his powerful and simple meditation practices to my clients. Breathe in, I know I’m breathing in. Breathe out, I know I’m breathing out.
Ammachi
Known for her pure love and hugs, Ammachi or Amma (Mother) as she is more commonly called, teaches us to love others as they are. When asked where she gets the energy to help so many people, she answers: “Where there is true love, anything is effortless.”
